1963 Structo International Jeep Scout w/Horse Trailer in Factory Sealed Box
Extraordinary two piece, pressed steel No.403 Structo International Jeep Scout (Cub Station Wagon) and Horse Trailer (with two plastic horses) in unopened factory staple sealed original box. Recent attic find purchased from the original owner's estate who had stored it since new. Set consists of a teal colored International Jeep Scout station wagon with white removable roof. The two side doors, front windshield, rear windshield, and tailgate opens and closes. It tows a two-wheel horse trailer (not certain of the color) with "Structo Farms" illustrated decals on either side. It has a drop-down tail-gate and includes two plastic horses. The box was printed with the Jeep Scout wagon and horse trailer on three main panels. The fourth is blank (except for information about the box manufacturer). It doesn't show the horses, but they're definitely inside the box. One panel has its original blue and white Montgomery Ward customer Columbia City, IN. mailing label addressed to "F. Smith". All four exterior endflaps (two on each end) are still factory staple sealed. The toy was originally owned by an elderly couple who purchased it for their grandchildren. It was intended for use by the grandkids when they came to visit so they wouldn't be bored. Apparently the couple bought a lot of toys because many of them were never opened. Size: Overall length (wagon & trailer) is 20½". The Scout Wagon by itself is approximately 11" long. Sold: Nov. 2010
